Box of reagents

The box of magical reagents is an item that the party were given as part of a quest that they picked up during the 24 September 2009 game session. They collected it from a businessman in Jestle who introduced himself as Brandor Fess.

[edit] Description

The box itself is covered in arcane markings and runes. These were roughly identified as wardings and protections. It weighs 3 lbs and it is roughly the size of a large jewellery box.

[edit] Instructions

They were told to deliver it to the guild tower of The Shadow Masters - near Dekov - to a man named Rylor Bess. They will be paid 400 pieces of platinum on delivery.

The party were warned never to open the box or to target it with any kind of magic. They have since disovered that they may cast detect magic in its presence and nothing seems to have happened to the box. The box is said not to be dangerous and it can take "a bump or two" but that the party shouldn't (for example) strike it with a sword.

[edit] It's Loss

The party got into a fight with some bandits on the way to Pladwell and were forced to surrender after taking casualties. The bandits then took anything of value from the party including the box of reagents.

Bastion was later able to talk with the bandits and at least convince them that they should sell it to the right people.
