Summary
Debrief for the missing caravan, party decide to remain in Argatia.
The party pick through the remains after the fight with the orcs, tether the side of the wagon to their horses and begin back towards Pladwell to meet up with the two soldiers they met in the orcs' cave. They then travel back north to Jestle at top speed and without incident. The game session began late on the fourth day of the quest to find the missing caravan of equipment and ended over a week later, as the Royal Army of Her Majesty prepare to march North to the oriental lands.

[edit] Meeting Gwain
Shortly after defeating the orcs near Tirest, a figure emerges from the woods nearby, introducing himself as Gwain. He is a druid and requests whether he might be able to adventure with the party. They accept.
[edit] Rendezvous at Jestle
[edit] Safe delivery of the box of reagents
The party arrive at Jestle and are approached by Brandor Fess who reports that the client at The Shadow Masters guild near Dekov has received the box of reagents successfully. Brandor asks the party whether they were satisfied with their payment. He was a little confused when told about what had happened (that the party had been robbed of the box) but he commended them on ensuring that the box was at least delivered to the correct recipient, even if they had forfeited their pay.
[edit] Meeting Red Blasphemy
Brandor asked the party to meet with an individual whose nickname is Red Blasphemy. Red is an arcane specialist who currently performs some work for Brandor's employer. Red has voiced some desire to take a more active role in adventuring and would like to join the party.
The party meet with Red at a tavern and they essentially accept his membership, after some disagreement and animosity is shown between him and Gemini.
[edit] Returning the caravan of equipment
Some members of the party leave the tavern early and head to the market square to meet with Lieutenant Bren in the merchant's quarter. Since the party left Jestle around a week ago, more military tents have been erected and the size of the temporary camp has grown. The partymembers are able to see Bren quite quickly though who has a quick inventory run over the caravan and renders payment. He is pleased that the party retrieved it so quickly but worried by the reports of orc sightings, especially when the army is marching north, leaving central Argatia less-well guarded than usual.
[edit] An offer to join the military
Bren makes an offer to the party to join the army marching to the north if they wish. The Royal Army of Her Majesty could use a group with the party's skills in a specialist role. He also makes a tempting offer of military pay and fast-track promotion to officer rank. Bastion says that he is very interested and would consult with the others.
[edit] An offer to work for Brandor Fess
Later, during the week, the party meet Brandor Fess once more, who makes them a proposal to work for him and his 'master' on the central continent of Yarel as heroes/champions of the land. Brandor explains that his master was once a hero but has now retired. Along with Brandor's assistance he organises adventuring parties much like the player characters' group. Brandor tells the party that the pay is good and that they will be serving an important purpose where they are, taking various quests for the good of the land.
When told about the other offer open to the party he counters it by saying that in his opinion, a military service is suicide and a waste of the party's talents.
[edit] The party make a decision
The party speak together and decide that they want to take Brandor up on his offer to remain in Argatia instead of joining the military. The most vocal supporter of this is Smilie.
Bastion and Fanglesnork however tell the rest of the group that they wished to take Lieutenant Bren up on his offer to march to the oriental continent with the army. These two are out-voted and told that the rest of the party will not follow them if they leave. At the very last minute (on the morning on which the army march north), Fanglesnork rejoins the rest of the party, saying that he has changed his mind.
[edit] Downtime
During the period of this game session, the party have six days of downtime to perform various tasks. Some of them use the opportunity to buy and sell loot and equipment, some work on items they are creating and some just have a good rest.
[edit] The loaned mounts
I am assuming that all of the mounts that had been given on loan from Lieutenant Bren have now been returned. If anyone doesn't want to return their mount then they can either pay for it at the normal Pathfinder cost or I can run you an encounter: you versus 20 or so angry soldiers.
